A fond farewell to our children going to school
With the summer break now looming – we are sadly saying a very fond ‘Goodbye’ to many of the children who are now off to Big School in September from Hemsley House Day Nursery and Pre-School in Maidstone. This week we have celebrated all that the children have achieved in their years with us by holding a graduation ceremony for children and parents too! This was such an emotional day and we are so very proud of the children.
This Dr Seuss poem just about sums it up:
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and ¾ percent guaranteed.)
Kid, you’ll move mountains!
So…be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ale Van Allen O’Shea, you’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So…get on your way!”
We look forward to hearing all about their new adventures at school and wish them all well.
In the meantime, we are very excited for our summer fete, now just round the corner on the 28th July! We hope to see you all there for some fun games, delicious barbeque food and some lovely time to spend together.
